I was using wufoo until yesterday when I switched over to form assembly. However, now that I am into it, I have noticed something that worries me. I would like to be able to choose a date to inactivate and then another date to activate the my form, and I would be updating these dates every week. It seems in form assembly, that I need to republish this every time I make this change. Is this right? In wufoo, I could make edits that would automatically update on my website. Please advise. Thank you.
We provide two different methods to publish your forms. First, you can copy&paste HTML code. As you noticed, it is not ideal if you update your form often.
The second method relies on server-side code running on your web server to pull the form directly from our database. There are several benefits to this approach:
1. Your form stays up-to-date. No intervention needed when you update your form. 2. Your users never leave your site, even when processing options like 'confirmation' or 'save&resume' are enabled.
It's also fairly easy to setup, as long as you have the ability to insert server-side code on your web page (like PHP, ASP, or some other technology). We provide code samples that you should be able to copy&paste here: http://app.formassembly.com/pages/support/publishing/#restapi
If for some reason the method #2 above doesn't work for you, there is a third alternative (using IFRAME) that we can discuss.
Welcome to FormAssembly, and sorry for the slow reply on this request.
PS: We have an overly sensitive security filter, so you will get a 'permission denied' error message if you try to post a reply with the word "iframe" it in (we're going to fix that)
